This cover of Oasis is the first track on my EP ‘California Sun’.
This was recorded in the thick of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This song felt hopeful to us in the midst of the world locking down. I remember it was a cold, dark, quiet night out on the streets and yet this song was recorded quickly and effortlessly. We slowed down the tempo and shortened this version of the song to reflect this moment in time.
We made this video during the peak of the Covid Pandemic and Lockdown rules. We were looking for a positive message and this iconic Beatles song came to mind. Each band member recorded their parts and shot their videos seperately and then the videos were compiled into the final cut. (My footage was shot in Kensington Gardens). Ironically, with all of our restricted outdoor time allowances, it was an exceptionally sunny British summer!
Another Lockdown video, this time a cover of REM’s ‘It’s The End Of The World As We Know It’, created by recording our parts and footage seperately with family and friends. We took inspiration from Bob Dylan’s famous use of cue cards in his ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’ video.
